Governor Sarah

It was in the dapple gray of early morn’ when the Stroller was rudely awaken from his nightly pursuit of wooing nature’s sweet restorer. The phone was ringing.

No good comes from phone calls at 4:30am AST and so it was with trepidation he begrudgingly answered it. The Stroller assumed one of his legion of “friends” had overstayed his welcome while polishing the brass rail at Juneau’s legendary Triangle Club and was now in need of bail and a ride home. He couldn’t have been more wrong. The sober insomniac at the other end of the line informed him Sarah Palin, Alaska’s wildly popular “reform” Governor, was moments away from being chosen as the surprise Republican nominee for Vice President of the United States of America.

The Stroller’s Resurrection

It is with great pride and an optimism born of crass cynicism that this legendary column is resurrected.

In the spirit of the original, written by revered Klondike newsman E.J. “Stroller” White some eight decades ago, we will attempt to continue the Stroller’s good works and pursue his lifelong mission of moral and spiritual uplift by always advising his friends and neighbors to just “put a squirt of lemon in it”.
